Commentary

All color artwork is created in Adobe Photoshop 7.0.  Most pieces include both photographic and painted elements, though even photographic elements are generally nothing more than a starting point, and a lot of painting and blending and such are still involved.

People often ask me what filters I use, but in reality, I rarely use filters at all. And when I do, it's generally to generate background elements. My fave filters are Flaming Pear's (flaimingpear.com). Stars are created with Glitterato, water reflections with Flood, planets with Lunarcell, and starbursts with Solar Cell.  I also use Super Blade Pro for creating 3D textures.

You might notice that I like color, lots and lots of color (why yes, I am a Maxfield Parrish fan). The brightness and contrast controls, hue and saturation, and color balance are all my good friends. and I really love the slightly surreal look possible when the color is pushed to the limit.
